The What

I create theatre that centers storytelling through movement, artistic sensibility, and resource driven creativity. My work has primarily been productions for young audiences, using staging that relies on bodies, space, and imagination rather than traditional sets or large budgets.

The How

My directing and devising approach is shaped by my years as a middle school theatre teacher working without a conventional rehearsal room, performance space, or traditional resources. Out of necessity, I became a producer, director, designer, and facilitator all at once. Using techniques like Frantic Assembly’s “Hymn Hands” and design methods from Rick Garcia’s Maetsro Arts Project, I give actors the tools and environment to trust their intuition and bring out their best performances. 

The Why

I am driven to make theatre with meaning and depth.  Work that asks audiences to reflect on the lives they lead, the world we share, and our responsibility to care for one another. Theatre is a mirror. Sometimes reflecting our personal truths, sometimes revealing our social and political realities. I want to continue expanding my ability to articulate story and meaning so that my work can provoke thought, empathy, and awareness across all audiences and all spaces.

The Takeaway

I want audiences to walk away feeling challenged and connected. To recognize themselves in the story. To consider the systems and communities they inhabit and feel the urgency of compassion. My goal is to create theatre that resonates after the performance ends, inviting viewers to think about how they move through the world and how they care for the people in it.
